Meet Routes: plan the week, track every stop (Web 1.13.0, Mobile 5.15.0)

Release notes for trackr iO Web 1.13.0 and the Mobile 5.15.0 update.

Release summary

Routes are here, and they take the manual work out of recurring pool service.

Instead of booking visits one at a time, you plan each technician's week once as a repeating route, and trackr iO creates the visits for you. Every route stop now shows up right next to your normal jobs, so the whole day lives in one place. And when a technician finishes their round, each stop tells you exactly what happened: completed, skipped, or no access, with the reason.

This release also adds service templates that set every pool up the same way every time, and on mobile, a technician can turn a one-off job into a recurring one straight from the field.

Routes

What Routes are

Routes are how you plan recurring pool service. Instead of booking visits one at a time, you set which pools each technician looks after on each day of the week, in the order that suits their drive. trackr iO then creates those visits for you, week after week.

What a route stop is

A route stop is one pool visit on a route. Each stop belongs to a technician and a day, uses a service (a job template and service profile), repeats on a frequency you choose such as weekly, and sits in an order you can arrange on the map.

How to create a route

  1. Go to Operations, then Routes and Route Builder.

  2. Pick the technician and the day of the week.

  3. Add a route stop and choose the pool, the job template and service profile for the visit, how often it repeats, such as every 1 week, the start date, and when it should stop, or leave it with no end.

  4. Set a store location and a color label if you want, then drag the stops on the map into the best order for the drive.

  5. Save. The visits now repeat automatically on that day for that technician.

Route stops now sit alongside your normal jobs

NEW ROUTES

Route stops appear alongside your regular jobs in the Route Dashboard, so you can see the whole day in one place instead of jumping between screens.

See exactly what happened on every stop

NEW ROUTES

When a technician finishes their day, each stop shows its outcome: Done, Skipped, No access, or Deferred, with the reason. Skipped and No access are color coded and show everywhere the stop appears, and you can filter the Jobs list and the Calendar by them to follow up on the stops that need attention.

Manage a route stop

Open any stop to zoom to it on the map, move it to a different day or technician either just once or from now on, edit the assignment, change how often it repeats, or remove it from the route.

More new on Web 1.13.0

Set a pool up the same way every time with service templates

NEW SERVICE PROFILES

The pool record now has a Service Template tab where you can see the default template, the tasks it applies, and add custom task overrides for that pool. You can link a service profile to a job template so it applies automatically whenever the template is picked, and reuse custom fields across service profiles instead of building them again each time. Less setup, fewer mistakes, and the same service done the same way.

Mobile 5.15.0

A redesigned app menu

NEW MOBILE

The main menu has been reorganized into clear sections: Routes, Team, App Preferences and Support, so a technician gets to the right screen in one tap. Routes holds the new Route Dashboard and the Job Dashboard, and Team holds the Team Map.

Route Dashboard

NEW ROUTES MOBILE

A new Route Dashboard gives technicians their day at a glance. Every route stop appears in order alongside regular jobs, each with its status shown as a pill: Complete, Skipped or No access. Tap a status pill to see the skip or no access reason, and swipe a technician's row to move their stops.

Job Dashboard and Team Map

NEW MOBILE

The Job Dashboard, now reachable from the main menu, brings the day's jobs into one place, and the new Team Map shows where the team is working across the day.

Skipped and No access filters on the Jobs list

NEW ROUTES MOBILE

The mobile Jobs list now has Skipped and No access status filters, matching the web app, so a technician can see those stops on their phone.

More mobile improvements

  • Complete is now its own action, split out of the Next menu on the Job and Route stop screens.

  • The default service profile is pulled from the job template on mobile too.

Impact at a glance

  • Who it helps: office admins planning routes and billing, and technicians in the field

  • Highlights: plan a repeating route, see route stops alongside normal jobs, know what happened on every stop, service templates, and turning a job into a recurring one from the field on mobile

  • Platforms: Web 1.13.0 and Mobile 5.15.0
