Summary
trackr iO gives you task configuration options that can help you define how and when each task is performed by the technician during each service visit. It’s the checklist your technician uses on the trackr iO mobile app to complete and document their work at the pool.
Three configuration options are available to choose from:
Required: Technician must complete the task before the visit can be completed
Photo: Technician must attach at least one photo to this task before the visit can be completed
Frequency: How often the task is due e.g. on every visit or on a recurring visit such as every 4 weeks.
On the technician's trackr iO mobile app, these requirements appear as badges: Required and Photo.
Set task Requirements on the Job Template
Task requirements live on the job template. Open Setup, then Job templates, and open the template you use for routed service. When adding a new task or when editing an existing one, you can set:
Frequency: Choose every visit (the default), or a recurrence — how many days, weeks, months or years. A task on a cadence only appears on a visit when it’s due. For example: "Clean filter" every 4 weeks shows up approximately once a month, the weekly visits in between do not carry it.
Required: On means the visit cannot be finished until the task is completed.
Photo: On means the task needs at least one photo before the visit can be completed.
The Service Template tab — adjust service requirements per pool
Templates set the standard service tempo, but individual pools often need adjustments. Each pool's detail page has a Service Template tab where you manage that pool's service in one place:
Assign or change the pool's default job template. trackr iO diplays a preview of what you’re changing, which adjustments keep applying and which would no longer match, so you confirm the changes you want with full knowledge of their affect on the pool’s default job template.
See the effective task list, exactly what a visit to this pool will contain after all adjustments.
Disable a template task for this pool. For example, a pool without a heater does not need the heater check. But the task still remains in the template for every other pool.
Add a custom task just for this pool with its own requirements or for anything specific to the property.
How adjustments to templates affect service visits
Each visit takes its task list from the template and the pool's adjustments as soon as the visit is created. Changes you make to the template apply to future visits only so that visits already completed keep their original checklist which maintains its work history and ensures that reports always show what was originally required at the time.
Reviewing the photos
Photos your technicians attach to tasks are stored with the visit. They’re visible to the office so you can verify that required photos were taken and you have a complete visual history for the pools that require photos. Photos also provide a documented visual history for the customer of what the tech saw during the visit.
